Appointments Notice Request form
The Appointments Notice Request form enables you to add and edit a container notice request for the selected appointment(s) directly from the Appointments view. The selected appointment(s) must include a container number, including appointments for receivals that must include a pre-advised container. N4 does not create container notice requests for appointments without a container number or if the appointment is in a state of Used, Late, Expired, Canceled, or Closed.
To add or edit an appointment notice request:
In the Event Type field, select the event(s) for which you want to send notification.
The Event Type field displays all of the available unit events in a multi-select list of values. To select multiple events adjacent to each other, hold down the Shift key; to select multiple events not adjacent to each other hold down the Ctrl key.
In the Description field, enter a short description of the purpose of the notice request.
In the Notify By field, N4 displays the Send an Email option, by default.
In the Email Address field, enter the Email ID at which the notification will be sent.
N4 validates the email address format and accepts only the email addresses that are entered in the '[email protected]' format (for example: [email protected]). N4 does not accept an email address that:
Does not contain the '@' symbol.
Contains more than one '@' symbols.
Contains a period (.) either at the start or at the end of the user name, or immediately following the '@' symbol.
Contains any other letters or symbols except a-z, A-Z, 0-9, period (.), or underscore (_) in the user name.
Contains any other letters or symbols except a-z, A-Z, or 0-9 in the company name (the string that follows the '@' symbol).
Has a Domain name shorter than two characters (for example: [email protected]).
Has a Domain name ending with a numeric domain identifier (for example: [email protected]).
N4 allows you to use an apostrophe anywhere in the recipient's name in an email address, such as O'[email protected].
Click Save.
If successful, N4 displays a message that includes the count of notifications created, otherwise N4 displays a message indicating that no notifications were created.
Notes
The appointment notice request uses the container notice default message template to send information related to the container and the service performed.
Existing notice requests are no longer valid once an appointment is in a Used state.
